She Got Next is South Carolina's premier girls high school basketball showcase and tournament series, created by A1 Hoops Basketball LLC to give female athletes real exposure to college coaches. Since it began, She Got Next has hosted teams from across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia, drawing recruiters from programs like USC, UNC-Chapel Hill, Coastal Carolina, and Furman. It's become a proving ground for elite talent — during the 2022-2023 season, all five SCHSL state champions competed in She Got Next. Founded by A1 Hoops CEO Ayonna Thompson-Bowen — a Mauldin High School standout whose jersey hangs alongside Kevin Garnett's and who played on scholarship at High Point University — She Got Next was built on the belief that girls' basketball deserves the same spotlight, competition, and recruiting opportunity as the boys' game. Through bracket play, showcase games, and media coverage, it keeps connecting rising stars with the coaches ready to give them their next shot.
